Reading week is (not) half term

I remember in the first lecture, the lecturer told us when our reading week was and specifically how he emphasised that reading week was not half term. The same speech was repeated by my personal advisor in my last tutorial. But I ignored their comment and treated reading week as half term. I went back home for the week, basically doing no work and watching tv. Now I come to regret my actions, since I had to complete three practical reports and revise for a mock test today. I am dreading tomorrow so much, the thought of handing in my practical report, which I had no idea on how to answer, and doing a mock test, which I hardly revised for. Nevermind its my birthday tomorrow, so yolo haha.

Tonight my friends gave me a lovely surprise by baking me a cake. A week ago, there was a conversation on whatsapp about cakes and I didn't realise it was for this. The cake tasted a little off (they know this haha and even told me not to eat it) but I appreciate the effort put into this cake. It made me feel so happy and it really cheered me up and I love them forever <3
