Miracles in December

Dec 31, 2013
Recently, my friends introduced the song "Miracles in December" by Exo to me and I absolutely love it. This is going to be the last post of the year, mostly a review of December as well as of 2013. The last two weeks of university has been filled with lots of fun and partying. I must mention an embarrassing clubbing incident. Basically, a guy was trying to flirt with me and I was scared, so I kept avoiding him. Ida, being a great friend, just laughed at me. But, a week later, the exact same thing happened to her in the SU Christmas party haha. The SU Christmas party was really good, best one so far. Oh, my crush may or may not have a girlfriend since I saw him holding hands with a girl, oh well. Before the party, my friends and I did our secret Santa gift exchange, I got a cute Hello Kitty pillow from Nailah, and Maria really liked my gift to her. The next two weeks were happily spent at home.

2013 was a much better year than 2012. One issue got worse early 2013, but it was finally sorted in a way. Also, I had the best summer ever in Hong Kong and Canada. I met the two most adorable kids, who reminded me that I should be happy at all times. I’m happy for my cousin who got married, which gives me hope about love. Finishing girls high and starting university marked a new point in my life. I remember how worried I was about going to university: did I chose the right university, should I take a gap year, will I make friends etc. But everything worked out in the end as I met the most amazing university friends and I’m enjoying my time at Royal Holloway.

Ending this post with a picture of Rudolph, the red nose reindeer, who came to my university, and a happy new year :)

"Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right."
