Failure defeats losers, failure inspires winners

Feb 28, 2014
Compared with January, February has been a slightly better month. Reading week gave me a chance to visit and relax at home for a few days. But the days leading up to and after reading week was loaded with practical reports that never seem to make sense (no surprise there), and revision for a mock exam. The mock exam today wasn't a complete fail, anyway it's only 3% of the module grade, so I'm not too worried. On the bright side of exams, I found out that I passed my January exam and the overall grade for that module is a 2:1. Initially, I was a little disappointed because I wanted to get a 1st, but considering how badly I screwed up in the exam, I did pretty well. I must work hard on the other modules!

My friends and I have finally sorted our house. At the end of January, we found a house we liked, but due to some problems with filling guarantor forms, we couldn't sign the contract until after reading week. Then, after contacting the landlord many times asking about the contract, she finally contacted us back and told us that another group of students have already signed the contract, meaning the house was gone. It was really annoying because she knew how much we wanted the house. Maybe this was karma because we did the similar ignoring thing with another landlord. Luckily, on that weekend, we managed to find a house we all liked, and we secured the house by paying the deposit the next day. This house is so much better than the other house, not being bias at all haha. Anyway can't wait for next year living together.
