Chasing the sweet things in life

Mar 21, 2014
After writing an essay about cabbage for the past two days, I deserve a short break by writing a blog post today. FYI, I had no idea what to write in the essay because 1) there was no title and the details were vague, and 2) I know nothing about cabbage except eating them. Anyway, let's move on from cabbage to better things like Patisserie Valerie. During the weekend in London, Natalie and I went to Patisserie Valerie in Old Compton street to have breakfast. This branch was actually the first cafe opened by Madam Valerie. I absolutely love the decor and the atmosphere at this branch; it was quiet and relaxing. For breakfast, I had Eggs Benedict, which was shaped like a butterfly, and it tasted so amazing. The service was good and the staff was polite.

Patisserie Valerie is well known for its cake. The cakes were so inviting, but Natalie and I resisted since we were too full and we said we would return later. But guess what, we didn't return later on, and looking at these pictures, I totally regret not going back for the cakes. I recommend Patisserie Valerie, especially the one in Old Compton Street, try out their breakfast range and don't forget the cakes too.

"One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating."
