Sometimes you just need a beach day

Jun 19, 2014
Continuation from the last post...When you think of Brighton, you think of the beach. Of course, we had to visit there during our trip. After our lunch at the Regency restaurant, we went to the beach to enjoy the sunshine as much as possible. Even though the weather forecast that day was rain, the weather managed to stay sunny throughout the day. The second photo reminded me of the book "Old man and the sea", even though it was about an old man and a fish, not an old man and a seagull. Nevertheless, it was a cute scene to capture. The weather soon became too cold for Ida and Mandy, and too windy for me (I was wearing a dress which was not a good idea), so we left to go shopping but returned again as the weather became calm and sunny again. We relaxed and talked on the beach, whilst enjoying our ice creams and doughnuts. At one point, there was a group of people dressed up as Mario characters and even played Mario karts. It was a hilarious scene to watch.

My chemistry high school teacher often mentioned how a particular girl in the year above chose to study chemistry in Brighton because of the beach. I really like Brighton and its beach, but I know there's a lot more Brighton can offer, and it's a shame we didn't really explore much. Never mind, it was good to be able to relax on the beach, especially after working so hard for the exams and just escaping from usual everyday life.

"Each of us may think we know exactly what we need to make us happy, what will be good for us, what will ensure we have our happy ending, but life rarely works out in the way we expect, and our happy ending may have all sorts of unexpected twists and turns, be shaped in all sorts of unexpected ways"

  1. Hahah I can't believe you witness the reallife version of
Mario Kart :') I'd love to visit Brighton and to say 'hi' to
    the beach ^_^ xx

    1. Hehe I can't believe it either, it's fun to see game characters come to life :')

  2. Beautiful photos man! The second one is so cute, because it looks like the seagull is keeping the man company lol

I keep meaning to comment, but I'm such a lazy twat! But I do read your posts :)

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip, you deserve to kick back and enjoy after the exams!

How was the water? Was it warm? Just from pictures I've seen of the U.K, I've always thought the beaches there would be cold!

Also, what's your favorite place you've visited so far? I have so many places I want to check out now! (Brighton is now on the list lol)

    1. Awww thank you for your comment! ^_^ Don't worry I'm a lazy twat too hehe :P
We didn't go down to the water, it was rather cold that day haha.
Definitely London, there's so much to do and visit! Come to the UK one day and we can go to places together :D

  3. I adore Brighton! I've only been there once on a school trip, but the beach indeed is a good reason to go to uni there. Lovely pictures :) X

    1. Awwww I'm glad you like Brighton and thank you :) X
