The year of the Monkey

Last Sunday, a group of volunteering friends and I went to China Town to celebrate Chinese New Year. The chinese people, which was me, Mandy and Samuel, tried our best to introduce Chinese culture and London China Town to the group. Because Sunday was the New Year's Eve of the Chinese New Year and the day for the reunion dinner, restaurants in China Town were undoubtedly busy. One restaurant even told us to not bother waiting and come back tomorrow instead. Luckily, we found a good restaurant where the waiting time wasn't too ridiculous. We ordered a range of dishes to share and the food was so good. Overall it was a fun experience celebrating Chinese New Year with non-Chinese people and I'm glad they enjoyed it.

I didn't take much photos that day because 1) I felt awkward taking pictures with this group of friends and 2) it was raining. But I made sure to take photos of London China Town with Kung Fu Panda decorations. I really want to watch Kung Fu Panda 3, but I have to wait until 16th March for its release in the UK... Anyway I wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year!
